Adam Brandt is a singer/songwriter from Eastern Connecticut and formerly front person of the New London based bands the Tawny Twelve and Table and Chairs. Adam began writing and performing original material and Bob Dylan covers in coffee shops in Danbury, CT in 1995 when he was 15. He has an enduring fondness for the inclusive and supportive culture of open mic nights that gave him his first platform for performance.
Through his work he has conveyed the aesthetics, ambience and diverse energies of those he’s admired; Tom Waits, Django Reinhardt, Jeff Tweedy, Elliot Smith to name some of many. Though Mr. Brandt has worked in the past on group-oriented, multi-layered theatrical projects, he is perfectly content and undeniably at home in the roll of the untethered troubadour.
Adam is happy to be releasing his 6 song EP, “Short Stories” this Wednesday, which features collaborations with former band mates, Alex Donoghue, Jake Kaeser and Gabriel Kastelle and two tracks adorned with the soulful lead guitar of John Fries.
